The Power To Get Wealth

Deuteronomy 8:18 is a verse in the Bible that says, "But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today."

In this verse, Moses is reminding the Israelites of God's role in their prosperity. The phrase "ability to produce wealth" can also be translated as "power to get wealth." This emphasizes that God is the one who provides them with the strength, intelligence, and resources to acquire wealth.

The context of this verse is important. Moses is warning the Israelites not to forget God's provision and care for them as they enter the Promised Land and become prosperous. He is cautioning them against attributing their success solely to their own efforts, and instead, reminding them that it is God who has given them the ability to succeed.

The verse also references God's covenant with the Israelites' ancestors, which is a reminder of God's faithfulness and promise-keeping nature. The covenant was a promise that God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and it is being confirmed and continued with the current generation of Israelites.

Overall, Deuteronomy 8:18 is a call to remember and acknowledge God's provision and care, and to trust in His faithfulness and promise-keeping nature. It is a reminder that true prosperity and success come from God, and that we should always acknowledge and thank Him for His blessings.
